During the lifetime of the revised homeless action plan, there will be an agreed business plan which sets out the key targets and objectives to be achieved in each year of the operation of the plan which will, inter alia, be developed in accordance with the following key principles;
- Consultation and collaborative working between all key stakeholders
- Due regard to progress made in implementing the core actions and be driven by the Vision and Strategic aims of this Action Plan
- Take into account National Policy and Strategy or as directed by the Minister with responsibility for Housing
- Consider and have important regard for the fiscal climate in which the plan is being implemented
Business Plan Key Objectives
- Set housing targets for remainder of the year and subsequent 2 years (including delivery agents, tenure types, etc)
- Consolidate the suite of services in the Dublin region thereby concluding the process of reconfiguration underway since 2010.
- Priority will be given the establishment of the Specialist Visiting Housing Support Teams and Tenancy Sustainment Teams in the Dublin Region.
- Continue to roll out Primary Care Teams to ensure access to mainstream and health and social care services for homeless people.
- One stop shop approach will be implemented across the Dublin region
- Establish a research and advisory group to consider the proposed data and information plan for the Dublin Region.
- Develop and implement a communications plan raising awareness and the aims of the action plan will be deployed.
- Monitor and ensure adequate emergency accommodation in the Dublin region.
- Conclude and agree Service Level Agreements with service providers.
- Establish a Migrant’s Services Working Group to work with government to develop, confirm and issue guidance to all Pathway to Home service providers on how destitute and irregular migrants can access homeless, housing, social welfare, and health care services.
