Providing Support and Services to the Dublin Joint Homelessness Consultative Forum and Statutory Management Group

Funding Allocations

Funding Allocations

The Dublin Region Homeless Executive allocates funding to homeless services in Dublin. The Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government (DECLG) provides funding for temporary accommodation, services and housing. This funding is provided through the Local Authorities and then allocated to voluntary service providers. Funding from the HSE provides for health and support services.

Currently over 70 different services are funded through us and these are provided by over 31 voluntary and statutory service provider organisations.

In 2011, approximately 59 million was allocated to homeless services in Dublin. The funding available provides for the following:

  • Supported Temporary Accommodation/Temporary Emergency Accommodation and Private Emergency Accommodation
  • Long-term supported accommodation
  • Outreach services
  • Settlement services
  • Information, advice and food services
  • Detox/Rehab
  • HSE medical services
  • Section10 Projects
