Social Housing and Homelessness

On Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th December, Sinn Féin and the Labour Party will jointly introduce a Dáil motion on social housing and homelessness.
The motion calls on the government to implement a range of measures including the construction of an additional 10,000 social housing units each year for the next three years; the need to adequately resource and fully implement The Way Home, a strategy to address adult homelessness; and the proper implementation of an inspection regime regarding housing standards in the rental sector.
The debate which will begin on Tuesday evening at 7pm and will conclude on Wednesday evening at 8.30pm when their joint motion or a Government amendment, if tabled, will be voted on by Deputies.
